Dr. Muhammad Abdullah Baig is an Associate Professor of English Linguistics and Head of the Department of English Linguistics and Literature (DELL), RIU, Islamabad. He has vast experience of teaching in different universities of Islamabad like NUML, IIUI, and FUI etc. He also served as a Head of English Department at Northern University Nowshera and Barani Institute of Information and Technology (BIIT), PMAS Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi. He has published his research in reputed national and international research journals. He has more than 60 research publications on his credit which include more than 19 HEC recognized X category research journal publications. He has earned a good number of citations. He is PhD in English Linguistics from NUML, Islamabad and worked on pragmatic losses in English translations of the Holy Quran in his PhD dissertation. He has taught a range of Linguistics courses at different levels in different universities. His research areas include Applied Linguistics, Translation Studies, Medium of Instruction, Semantics, Pragmatics, and Language & Gender Studies.
