Module Description:

Life on the face of Earth today is several times more comfortable than it was centuries before. This all is because of the research carried out overtime by our predecessors. Good research demands good research attitude, and it is an inevitable requirement for meaningful, productive and significant contribution to the existing pool of knowledge. Novel researchers in Pakistan and abroad usually face multiple problems in the process of research paper publication. The problematic areas may include:

1. inappropriate temperament for research,
2. incongruous understanding of research,
3. issues in academic writing,
4. unawareness regarding research publication venues,
5. lack of awareness in targeting the relevant research journals,
6. lack of expertise in meeting the research journal requirement for publication,
7. fear of plagiarism, and last but not the least,
8. unwillingness for collaborative research because of stereotypical known as well as unknown reasons. This particular module has been diligently designed for the training and education of the new researchers in Social Sciences and Humanities to overcome these challenges.

Module Objectives
The module of “Challenges in Research Paper Publication for New Researchers” is meant to:

1.  inculcate the requisite research attitude,
2. understand the workable concept of research,
3. comprehend the nature of research paper language,
4. know research publication venues,
5. know how to target the relevant research journals and meet the research journal requirement for publication,
6. overcome the fear of plagiarism through positive thinking, and
7. understand the concept of collaborative research.

Eligibility:
• BS/ MPhil / PhD
• Researchers (Social Sciences and Humanities)
• Research supervisors (Social Sciences and Humanities)

Certification:
• The participants will be awarded certificates upon completing 10 hours training (two hours each of the five days).
